Quick update today, wanted to show you the yacht inspired TREX decking insert I installed this morning. I think one of the coolest marine contrasts is how on a nice yacht the teak word floors meets with the glowing white fiberglass. I can't have a yacht in Smyrna, so I'll compromise. It is grippy, and it is much cooler in temp that the concrete will be. This will give us a nice sitting spot between a few Windmill Palms we also bought. Pro tip...Make sure you know what hardiness zone you live in when buying tropicals, in Middle TN we are in zone 7, so only a few species will survive our colder Winters.
Here is the final look, I had to work between rain storms and the concrete hasn't fully popped white with all the rain!
Another good find yesterday while the big box stores are moving stuff out, Im assuming to make room for Christmas trees already. If you have ever shopped outdoor furniture it is ridiculously expensive, add the word pool and the price doubles from that!
