DIY Inground Pool - Day 10

Hi there, another exciting day at the pool build with the electricians hitting a milestone of being inspection ready for our first inspection!  Guys got here early and worked most of the day tying things in, finishing the conduit and making it look good, here are a few shots of the good work!

New sub box with all the circuits wired up and loaded, above is the timer that goes to the light transformer on the outside.

To the left is the light transformer taking high voltage and transforming it to low voltage for the two LED lights, we will pull these through the conduit after we install the liner! Our lights also have a super neat remote that we can change the color of the lights or program light shows!  To the right is the pad wiring, the almond box in the middle is the supply to the salt chlorinator and just a couple of outlets above for the chlorinator and pump!

This is the final LED light conduit, we will pull these through after the liner is installed.

This evening I submitted for an inspection, hopefully that occurs early this week sometime.  We have rain in the forecast every day until Saturday but here is a short off the cuff punch-list of what comes next:
  • Approved electrical inspection means we can backfill with #57 gravel
  • Need to complete Pool Krete floors, 12 bags to go!
  • Liner is supposed to ship on 6/30, fingers crossed, we can install as soon as it arrives if floors are finished
  • Maybe another electrical inspection before concrete patio
  • Fill the pool
  • barriers and doors around surround
  • landscaping
  • final inspection
  • swim time!
  • fix sewer lines that we broke :(
Stay tuned, lots more to come!
